I am a self-taught artist from Guadeloupe (French Caribbean Island), based in London.
A few years ago, I bought canvases, oil paint, and a few brushes to have a go at painting. I thought…why not? Let’s give it a go! I never imagined I would enjoy the experience so much!
I often paint subjects (flowers in particular) in colours that remind me of sweet Guadeloupe that I left so many years ago: best way to beat nostalgia!
Very often I start my paintings at night because I love to discover what the colours have turned into in the morning. For me, this is the best moment of all…it is like discovering a gift!
Lately, I have been enjoying drawing and sketching as I love trying all sorts of media (watercolour, ink, pen, pencil, acrylic, oil) and it allows me to be creative any time during the day without having to engage into any heavy preparation. Do check out my Facebook or Instagram page to witness my journey.
I truly hope that my art will take you on a wonderful journey as much as they do for me. And do let me know if you love them so much that you want them at home with you 😉
